The Grass Snake's Dream

The grass snake represents the search for a goal. In this artwork, it moves through the rough waves of a stormy sea. It is shown as a guardian, standing between the underworld and the world we live in. Day and night, it watches over both the world and its people. As it does this, it also changes, shedding its skin and changing its colour and pattern, even though the way it sees and understands the world stays the same.
Below the waves, bubbles rise from the dark depths, carrying stories and rumours about the grass snake. They seem to calm and comfort it, as if reminding it of its role as a guardian between two worlds. In this way, they lighten the burden of its long journey through the heavy sea. Because of this, the grass snake’s life feels like an endless dream—mysterious, watchful, and quietly purposeful.
