New Beginning

This is the artist’s first graphic artwork. It shows a person looking into a deep abyss of darkness and discovering their true inner self. Through meditation, they try to reach a higher version of themselves. To me, the higher self is both the endless light of the universe we live in and a person’s understanding of their own character and place in an ever-changing society.
This idea encourages self-discovery and self-awareness through one’s own thoughts and senses. Honest creation, together with awakened passion and love, helps both people and society forward. Real change begins within, because every new beginning starts with what each person chooses to give to the world.

White paper; Faber-Castell Waterproof Pitt Artist Pens with pigmented India ink, which is odorless, acid-free, and pH neutral. The artist uses these materials in a graphic art technique.
