I grew up in Kaunas, Lithuania — a city full of history, creativity, and quiet corners where imagination could breathe. From a young age, I felt drawn to the world of symbols, stories, and surreal imagery. After graduating from the Kaunas School of Art Institute, I knew one thing for certain: I wanted to live as an independent artist. Not because it was easy, but because it felt like the only honest path for me.
Life pushed me to grow up fast. I started working at sixteen, learning early what responsibility, discipline, and persistence really mean. Eventually, I left Lithuania in search of better opportunities, carrying nothing but determination and a sketchbook. That journey led me to Norway — a place where nature, silence, and space helped me reconnect with my creativity in a deeper way.
Today, I live and create in Oslo, continuing to develop my surrealist vision through graphic drawings and oil paintings. I work with pigmented India ink pens, precise linework, and symbolic imagery that grows from intuition and lived experience. My art explores themes of identity, transformation, inner conflict, and the quiet conversations we all have with ourselves. Every piece begins with a feeling, a memory, or a thought that refuses to stay hidden.
One of my biggest dreams was to have my own online art shop — a place where people could discover my world directly, without filters or middlemen. I built this website myself, piece by piece, just like my drawings. It represents years of work, growth, and belief that art can connect people across borders and backgrounds.
When I’m not drawing, I recharge by walking in nature, enjoying the sun, listening to the ocean, or simply breathing in the quiet moments that life offers. These small experiences often become the seeds of new artworks — reminders that inspiration lives in the simplest things.
My collection is more than a gallery; it’s a reflection of my journey. A path from Kaunas to Oslo. From working at sixteen to building a life around creativity. From dreams to reality.
Take your time exploring the artworks. You might find something that speaks to your own story too.
Artist Šarūnas Valevičius

For me, art is the hidden part of life — the quiet, unspoken layer beneath everything we see. It is always searching for expression, always pushing to reveal something deeper. When I create, I feel a sense of uplift, nostalgia, and clarity, as if the world slows down and the noise fades away.
Art allows me to express emotions that don’t fit into words. It helps me understand myself, reconnect with forgotten parts of my inner world, and transform those feelings into something tangible. Every artwork becomes a conversation — between my thoughts and the viewer’s imagination.
This is what art is for me: A journey inward. A way to breathe. A way to remember who I am.
What Art means to me?
Art demands patience. It asks you to sit with your thoughts, to breathe, to observe, to feel. In that way, it becomes a form of meditation. The long hours spent drawing or painting are not just technical work; they are moments of reflection. I often find myself drifting into memories, ideas, and emotions that later turn into scripts, poems, or symbolic imagery in my pieces.

To me, art is a way of living — a way of noticing the beauty in simple things: the warmth of a sunset, the softness of fresh air, the purity of clear water, the silence of the night sky. These moments remind me why I create. They ground me, inspire me, and give meaning to the stories I try to tell through my work.

And again the water falls,
That clear water.
And the islands, gathering as they fall,
Keep pouring it, and pouring.
So the islands never cease to drink,
So the stones will not turn in the depths and springs.
Fill the island with dreams, with only the purest ones,
So the water may wear the channel down to the springs and depths.
The rising sun brightens the sky,
And the diamond spray of the waterfall bears beauty far away.
A drop glimmers in a dark hollow,
Revealing a tree long dead.
And you fill the island with such drops,
And the water keeps falling, never stopping.
You know it is already here, and yet it feels farther away,
A small stone, and yet so heavy...
And if I were to lend you my island, my little islet,
Would you make sure the water never runs dry?
Water is no fluff; it can be heavy,
So do not be angry if the island cannot hold it all.
And when I find a place where dreams lie sleeping,
Wake me, so my hands may be filled.
And I will climb the mountain, the highest one,
So you may see how the sky shines for you.
